Our facts connector
Our facts connector lets Claude and other assistants read the checked facts behind our free guides and tools. Each answer includes its official source and the date it was checked. It is free, read-only and needs no account. Add https://planbeforeyoudie.app/mcp as a custom connector.
How do I add it?
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Enter a name, such as Plan Before You Die facts, and the URL https://planbeforeyoudie.app/mcp. Choose no sign-in. Other assistants that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can use the same URL.
What can it look up?
It has eight tools. search_facts searches our checked facts. get_form looks up an official form by its code, such as CMS-10106. readiness_checklist returns the 25 checks of the Family Readiness Standard. list_guides lists our free guides and tools. after_death_deadlines returns the after-death deadline calendar for a date and state. state_rules reads one state's row from our state tables, such as small estates or death certificates. inherited_ira_rule returns the inherited IRA timing rules. agency_permissions shows which forms and permissions each federal agency accepts.
What does it keep?
It uses the details in a request, such as a state or a date, only to return the answer and does not save them. We keep anonymous daily counts of which tools are used. Read our privacy policy for everything we keep.
What are its limits?
It covers the United States. Every tool only reads. None sends messages, saves a plan or changes anything. Answers are general information, not legal, medical or financial advice. A state rule shows the published text and its conditions and does not decide an individual case.
What if a tool returns an error?
Invalid tool arguments means a value is outside the tool's choices, such as a state that isn't a two-letter code or a date that isn't written as YYYY-MM-DD. Check the tool's fields in your assistant and try again. If search_facts finds no match, it returns a short list of facts to start from. If a tool keeps failing, write to hello@planbeforeyoudie.app. We reply within two business days.
