How we check our guides
Our guides use official sources, show when facts were checked, and separate general information from your own decisions.
Use the original source
We check government facts on the relevant office's website and account features on the company's help pages. Each fact record stores its source, supporting quote and next review date.
Review before publishing
New fact records start unapproved. A local review screen shows the claim alongside its supporting quote. A quote match helps us check a source. It does not establish that our explanation is right.
Keep the limits clear
We provide general information. We do not choose legal documents, Medicare plans, insurance or investments for you. Talk with a lawyer in your state about legal questions.
